Away we go!

Well, we finally have the paper work sorted and the builders are starting in the dining room on Saturday. Things will hopefully start to motor along now, so we are looking at around mid-October.

At present, the air-conditioning is being installed, upholstering is underway on the seating and kitchen fittings are being made. I will have some photos and another update for you to look at next week, so stay tuned!

Ciao

I am so happy that you're opening soon - our day trips to the Highlands haven't been the same since the restaurant closed in Berrima! Looking forward to seeing the new place - good luck :)

1. We want you to survive. Unlike many of the businesses in the area, we really need you. There have been so many quite good eateries that have closed down. Bistro Mont, The Fusion Lounge, That Noodle Place. In fact, on Monday nights, the only decent place is the Grand. But it feels so enclosed.

2. Please try a Monday night. There is such a dearth of places open. The Royal and Grand are often packed as there is nowhere else. (apart from Asian Restaurants)

3. Hope you can keep the really personal touch. The best lunch we ever had was when Tim, cooked, served and opened the wine!!

4. Bring your father's smoker with you. It produced some great flavours.

5. We are all on your side. Your business is a cutthroat one. I expect to pay for quality.

6. I have only had one problem. For me, Tim, ( I am 6'4" and not fat) the portions are a little on the small side. I have just come back from working in Wales. There was a brilliant restauranteur there that tailored his portions to the customer once he got to know them. You know me well.
